Saldan Shampoo is a prescription medicated anti-dandruff shampoo containing ketoconazole 2% w/v and salicylic acid 2% w/v. It is formulated for persistent dandruff, adherent scalp scales, flaking and itching associated with dandruff-prone or seborrhoeic-dermatitis–affected scalp. The 100 ml foam-based formulation is designed for targeted dry-scalp application and approximately five minutes of contact time before rinsing. zole is an imidazole antifungal medicine. It reduces the growth of susceptible fungi and yeasts associated with dandruff by interfering with ergosterol-dependent fungal cell-membrane formation. Ketoconazole 2% shampoo has established clinical use in dandruff and seborrhoeic dermatitis, with controlled studies demonstrating reductions in scaling and relapse when used appropriately. c acid is a keratolytic ingredient that helps soften and loosen thick, adherent scales. This makes accumulated flakes easier to remove during rinsing and can improve penetration of the antifungal ingredient across a heavily scaled scalp.
